Finally Huffpo Has it Right – (Almost) – “Glenn Beck Gets First Scalp: Van Jones Resigns”
Yes, the sweet smell of Victory! Beck decided to do direct battle with Van Jones after the radical group he founded “Color of Change” led an advertising boycott against Beck’s show to protest his claim that Obama is a racist. Who heard of Jones two weeks ago?
Ryan Grim from Huffpo got the headline right and then went on a typical doped up rant about birthers being the same as troofers and blah blah blah. Well at least the wee weed up Grim had the class to acknowledge that Beck dug up this story – and that there are MORE scalps to come!
Shades of the National Enquirer scooping the John Edwards love child story, none of the liberal lap dog media outlets picked up this story – until now! There was silence. Yet today most media reports amusingly avoid reporting that Beck uncovered this story and the blog world pushed it to the front page. I guess they also overlooked the fact that last week Beck had almost 3 million viewers each night (that is more than the entire MSNBC prime time lineup combined) as he uncovered Zeros shadow government.
Here is what the slobbering Zero loving Media will not report about Jones resignation. Jones is one of MANY appointments that Obama made to people that helped get him elected and could NEVAH pass any type of clearance or Congressional scrutiny. So Zero had no choice but to assemble a shadow government so he could employ his criminal (Grim failed to mention that) cronies in positions that no one knows WTF they are doing. Green Jobs Czar????
All the while Obama has yet to appoint hundreds of critical agency appointments leaving many federal agencies in limbo.
From the NYT –
As President Obama tries to turn around a summer of setbacks, he finds himself still playing without most of his own team. Seven months into his presidency, fewer than half of his top appointees are in place advancing his agenda.
Of more than 500 senior policymaking positions requiring Senate confirmation, just 43 percent have been filled so far — a reflection of a White House that grew more cautious after several nominations blew up last spring, a Senate that is intensively investigating nominees and a legislative agenda that has consumed both.
The sluggish pace has kept Mr. Obama from having his own people enacting programs central to his mission. He is trying to fix the financial markets but does not have an assistant treasury secretary for financial markets. He is spending more money on transportation than anyone since Dwight D. Eisenhower but does not have his own inspector general watching how the dollars are used. He is fighting two wars but does not have an Army secretary.
“If you’re running G.M. without half your senior executives in place, are you worried? I’d say your stockholders would be going nuts,” said Terry Sullivan, a professor at the University of North Carolina and executive director of the White House Transition Project, which tracks appointments. “The notion of the American will — it’s not being thwarted, but it’s slow to come to fruition.”
Let’s support Beck as he goes after Zeros shadow government – ONE BY ONE. Grim was right, Jone is the first scalp!
