“Your name will be blessed by the mouth of EVERY LIVING BEING – Forever and for always”
After a long hard week of work Shabbos approaches, thank God. I visited an old friend at her business this afternoon. Charlene cares for her elderly father and Stanley now sits at her antique shop with her all day. His Alzheimer’s prevents his memories yet he smiles and acts friendly as if….
Charlene lamented about how bad her business has been and how she struggles. Most of us that own small businesses can relate. We shared our gratitude for all that we have and how blessed we have been in years past. I reminded her that Hashem (God) provides for us all – always.
On Shabbos it is so easy to remember what is so easy to forget. We can be humble and spend some time with the Almighty in praise.
The following is part of the prayers after we eat – We remember that God provides food for all – and that we depend on the Almighty – exclusively.
“Yisbarach shimcha bifee kol chai
tamid l’olam vaed
“Your name will be blessed by the mouth of EVERY LIVING BEING Forever and for always”
(to be sung with all the joy in our hearts)
Good Shabbos to my Jewish friends and Peace to all!
